It is a town with high Mayan legacy, Pujula is a Mayan project to protect original traditions, construction and handicrafts' processes. They offer workshops, immersion program, and Yucatec cuisine.

There are several cenotes, most of them not yet explored. The Yaax'Ek, "Green Star" cenote, located near the main square.

In the vicinity of Kaua are a set of deep caves to which many legends are attributed. They contain archaeological remains that are not valued...
