Discover why its name means "place where are spellings in smooth flints".

Dzibilchaltun site had settlements since 500 B.C., it is possible that before. It has Mayan sculptural art stelae and 12 sacbes /sakbejs (white roads).
The Temple of the Seven Dolls or Temple of the Sun is its most representative building.
It also has a chapel of XVI Century.

When visiting, also explore the Maya Town Museum, which has objects from Mayan and Spaniards (paintings, armors, weapons...).
You can swim in the Cenote Xlacah /"old town".
