INFORMATION & RECOMMENDATIONS

Description

Discover the unique hacienda Sotuta de Peon. It is a"living" experience to discover how the henequen is produced.

Travel back in time, and enjoy the ride on top of wooden platforms, called "trucks", pulled by "mules" over Cauville rails... the same rails that were originally used by the workers during the famous Henequen (sisal) time.

Imagine how life was in Yucatan haciendas; explore the Owners' House and a traditional Mayan House.
Enjoy watching the transformation process of the Henequen, from the plant to the end product. Discover the antique machinery that has been rebuilt to its operational capacity.

Finish your tour swimming at "Dzul Ha” cenote (1 hr.) or, if you prefer, in the swimming pool, surrounded by lush gardens with tropical flowers and trees.
If you want a traditional Yucatecan dish, our restaurant awaits you.

You can visit at 2 schedules only; please book in advance.
