DESCRIPTION Cenotes Diving in Yucatan beginners
Imagine yourself diving at a cenote, which means you'll be surrounded by millions of liters of fresh and crystal clear water.
Imagine the sunlight, the fish, the rock formations...
This is a special program if you are not yet a certified diver, and still want to try scuba in a cenote.
Your safety is our priority, so you will do it at a controlled atmosphere.
We want you to feel the gear on, and learn the basic techniques before taking you to the cenote.
A qualified instructor will teach you these concepts and will help you dive at a shallow swimming pool.
We'll teach you first, so you can dive safe and enjoy more your first open waters experience.
Then, we'll head to a cenote in Yucatan... For your first immersion!
We'll go deep into nature, actually crossing Mayan villages until reaching the cenote.
A sandwich, fruit & water is included.
You can eat at a Mayan village or in an hacienda before heading back to Merida.

Requirements
+ Adults only or kids over 10 years old (with adult supervision)
+ Know how to swim
+ Fill and sign security formats
+ Bring a change of clothes
+ Swimming suit and towel
Recommendations
To swim in cenotes bring your swimsuit, a visor or goggles, and life jacket (even if you know how to swim).
It is advisable to bring biodegradable insect repellent and sunscreen, and water.
Every modification alters the ecosystem, leave nature sites, elements and its fauna as found.
Care for nature! Bring bags to take all your litter and garbage back with you; take special care of glassware and / or campfires.
Remember heat can be extreme, especially from April to September. Stay hydrated and dress accordingly.

It is one of the main cenotes used for diving activities (specially for beginners). At sunset birds return to their nests in the walls of the cenote while bats come out.
